I Am The Life

One Chinese man reminisced to me concerning how he came to dedicate his life to the Lord.  When he was young, although both parents were believers, he didn't personally believe in God.  I was told that he viewed his parents as though they weren't good people.  After finishing high school at 17 years of age, he wondered what to do with his life and headed out on a walk past a field.  While walking, he felt a light flow through him and the Lord spoke to him, "I am the life.  I'm the way and the truth."  He ran home scared and hid himself under something.  Then he decided to give his life to the Lord.

He later found out from his parents that they had given him to the Lord while he was in the womb.  He went on to study theology for some time and then moved down to the Yunnan province from northern China.  Praise the Lord!  He leads two house groups and spends some time telling minority people about Jesus.  He also trains others to preach Jesus.

A Woman Shares Her Testimony

Before hearing the testimony of the man who heard from the Lord, an elderly woman who was present shared with me how she came to believe.  When she was 10 years old, she used to go to a church and they taught her some songs.  She heard that God created everything including her and believed it.  Now at around 70 years of age she still believes in Jesus.  She told me that God has helped her through the years.  Her testimony was spoken in English and I recall that she had taught herself from the Bible, a dictionary and a student's book.

Quick Recovery

I heard this from a man in a church two days earlier than I heard the previous two stories.  One day the man was on top of his desk and fell down.  When he fell, his back hit the backing of the bed and was hurt badly.  Then I asked him if he could move his leg and also motioned with mine swaying.  He replied "no."  I asked if he could move his arm and likewise motioned with mine.  Again the response was "no."  I questioned him about turning his head and again he responded "no."  All he could do was just stare up.  So, he prayed and within two minutes he could walk.  Then I jumped up and asked if he could do that.  This time he replied, "yes."  He told me that this happened about a year ago.  He drew the illustration, except for the down arrow which I drew.
